Lexi & Jeremy NYC Engagement

The story of how Jeremy proposed to Lexi is one that sounds like it should be in a movie! Lexi told me all about it as we walked through the streets of New York City as I took their portraits along the way. We started in their beautiful high rise apartment in West Village and made our way to their favorite park Washington Square Park, rooftops, and secret gardens.

We passed a street where she said it was similar to the proposal. Jeremy told Lexi they would just be going to dinner that night as they passed a live band on the street. They asked for a song request and he told them play something that reminds you of us. They started playing a song that meant something special and deep to Lexi and that’s when it hit her, “what’s going on?” as he got down on one knee. She then explained to me that he had planned the band ahead of time and soon whisked her off in a helicopter ride to the promised dinner where friends & family were waiting to congratulate them. At this point in the story I’m trying not to tear up by having them walk down the street hand in hand and with their adorable dog, Bugsy, by their side as I took more photos of their candid happiness.

Stories like this not only add to the emotional connection I make with all my couples but really motivate me to capture their love the best way I can.
